Jodan

Tools are used to make the money. The coin press is made to draw the design on the coin. A magnifying is used to check the drawing of the coin press is used up of metal. Some other tools are: pellets, burnishes and plaster models. It blows my mind of some tools weigh 200 pounds.

  2. Jordan, your essay on the making of money made me remember the time my parents took me to the U.S. Mint in Washington, D.C. It was very interesting to see how money was made. I think the closest U.S. Mint facility near you is in Denver, Colorado. Maybe some day you will get to go there and also see how they make the coins.

Thank you for helping me remember this nice memory that I had forgotten for so long!

  3. Hi Jordan,

It is cool to think about how money is made - thanks for sharing what you have learned! Did you get to watch a video about how money is made or did you read about it? Would you ever be interested in going to visit the U.S. Mint to see how money is made in person?

  4. Hearing about these tools makes me wonder who invented them and how much they must cost to make. Thank you for writing about the tools you learned about. Keep practicing your writing so you can share what you learn.
