The curriculum we use at school is called Bridges. Their website has a link to many free apps that you can download. Here is a link to the vocabulary words your child should be learning in math: Vocabulary Flash Cards for 3rd grade. Math is one of the most important things you will learn at school.  Here is a link to the other free Apps we use in 3rd grade: Free Apps.  MOBY Math My goal is that if your child is in 3rd grade, s/he ends the year at a 4.2 grade level. This means the fourth grade second month.  Most students loose a full two months of math over the summer! Please make sure your child continues to practice math during the summer! To find your child's current grade level, log into MobyMath. Then click on the green elephant for progress. Then click on the blue link to see the complete dashboard. If you do not have a computer at home, please talk with me. I will do what I can to help you buy a computer. The one that I recommend is the following: Chromebook.  It costs $200 and has everything your child will need through high school. This is the computer the students have in the classroom (thanks to the generous donation of parents!).  Please talk with me if you buy the computer. I will get it set up so your child can access the internet at school. You can also access the internet for free at the public library.  IXL Math Every student has an account with IXL.com that can be used during the school year and through the summer. Students know their passwords and login information. They should practice the information under 3rd grade math standards for Oregon. Videos for division of 2 digit numbers Home Connection #34 / ShowMe Division with a Sketch / ShowMe Division with a new, similar way: 240 divided by 15 / ShowMe Learning Math Facts Xtra Math is a free, online program designed to help kids master basic math facts: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Student accounts can be accessed from computers at home or school. Progress reports are available.    Get Free Tutoring from tutor.com for math homework online. Click on the link and then click on tutor.com to go to the website. All of the tutors are real teachers. The tutoring normally costs $34 per hour. You can have it for free with your library card! You can access this website all day on the weekends and after 2:10 on Weekdays. You need to have a library card and your password to get the free tutoring. Math Workbooks you can buy for under $10 Math workbooks - General selection Kumon 4th Grade Workbooks - Most of them are $6 There are many good math workbooks that you can buy. Most of these workbooks cost under $10 and will help you get better in math.
