Taylor

At Rigler School, we celebrate Day of the Dead every year.

We have a special way of celebrating here at Rigler. In the evening, we eat tamales. We make a family display for the auditorium. In lunch they have music. In PE they have games outside.

Many things happen on Day of the Dead. Special people celebrate in Mexico lots of people celebrate Day of the Dead. Day of the Dead Happens November 1st and 2nd. Lots of people paint faces like skeletons.

Skeletons are everywhere on Day of the Dead. Some skeletons are called calacas. Almost over on in Mexico teenagers like skeletons. In Mexico they make bred for there families that died.

  1. Very good writing Taylor. Your first paragraphs are very well written. The final paragraph needs a bit of work. "Almost over on in Mexico teenagers like skeletons" is an unclear sentence. Also, bread is misspelled and not "there families," but "their families."

  2. Hi Taylor, thank you for sharing about Day of the Dead. I am from Brazil and we don't have it on our culture. It is very interesting to know more about what are the celebrations in other countries.
