Jason

Day of the Dead. Here at Rigler School we celebrate Day of the Dead every year. We have a special way of celebrating here at Rigler. In the evening, we eat tamales. We make a family display for the auditorium. In our own Class we make papel picado.

  1. Hi Jason,
The only thing I don't see is a conclusion. The rest of your sentences are very good. How did the celebration end at your school? That may be a good conclusion. I would like to know: how do you make a papel picado?
    Nice job!

  2. Hi jason,
Your first sentence is good and then you tell how you celebrate Day of the Dead. Maybe the end of your story could tell us what you liked best.
    Keep up the good work,

  3. Point: You tell a lot of interesting things about how you celebrate the Day of the Dead at your school.

Question: Have you ever heard of Scherenschnitte? It is a little bit like (or a lot like) papel picado. I come from Pennsylvania, and scherenschnitte is something people near me do. You could look it up on the internet.

  4. Jason,

I like the details you provide. With all that information, I'm curious about what is your favorite part of Day of the Dead?
