Great resource for fun math books

Many of these books are available at the library! I encourage you to check out these math books that go along with the new Bridges Curriculum for math.

One of my favorite books is called The Best of Times. Here is a link to the book from Powells: http://www.powells.com/biblio/1-9780439210447-9.

The books teaches strategies for learning multiplication. Each strategy has a fun poem to help children understand and remember the strategy. Most of these strategies we use as part of the Bridges curriculum in the classroom.

Here is a sample strategy:

Four is very fast to do when you multiply by 2.
Here's a little good advice --
please just always double twice!
