Mason

I like to go to the forest on a rainy day. You can hear rustling in the trees. You can see salamanders crawling out from their logs. Once in a while you’ll hear a bold eagle or a toad croaking. Though it is quiet is bustling with activity.
You can smell skunk flower in the swamp. Newts live in the swamp. There are birds chirping in the trees, you can smell pine wood in the distance. Come to me in my forest.

  1. Hello Mason,

I really liked your description of the "rustling in the trees." I feel like you did a very good job describing the trees in a way most people will understand. You also have done a great job describing how busy the forest is even though it is quiet.

Your writing clearly demonstrates you know what is going on in the forest and you know how to describe it.

    Keep up the good work!

  2. Hello Mason:

I really enjoyed reading your story. Your words were very descriptive and I could see these images in my mind. I especially love how you pointed out that although the forest is quiet, it is very active. I could imagine the hustle and bustle of the insects and animals. Keep writing you have a great talent!!
