Adah

Dear Ms. Luria,

Did you know that there is a place that could be both educational and fun?  I think that our class should go to the Humane Society for our field trip.  Besides the Humane Society is close to school, it only costs $25 and it could be educational.

The Humane Society is one of the best places to go because it is close to school.  It probably only takes 20-30 minutes to get there.  Out of all of our ideas it is one of the closest.  We also would be back to school on time for dismissal.  The Humane Society would make a great field trip because it is close by.

The Humane Society only costs $25 and it could be educational, in addition, we can learn about the animals.  Also, it would only cost $1 per person for the bus and the Humane Society is free to get in.  All we would have to pay for is transportation.  If we went to the Humane Society we would learn a lot.

I think that our class should go to the Humane Society for our field trip.  It is close to school and it only costs $25.  It also could be educational.  The Humane Society is a place where we could learn about the animals and their adaptations.  Therefore, the Humane Society is the best place to go for our field trip.

          From,

  1. Point: I like the sentence where you talk about what your class could learn at the Humane Society. This sentence describes what would happen at a field trip to the Humane Society. "The Humane Society is a place where we could learn about the animals and their adaptations."

Question: What kind of animals are at the Humane Society? What else could you learn there?

  2. Point: Adah, I loved how you started your letter with a question! This drew my attention and made me want to learn what place could be both educational and fun. "Did you know that there is a place that could be both educational and fun?"

Question: What would you learn at the Humane Society? How does it fit in with what you are learning in school?
