Tyonna

The king counted money. He had four stacks of coins.He had a big long list. He wore a robe. He wore a crown. He had a list full of numbers.He wrote with a feather. He counted in a castle. He wore slippers. He sat on a stool at a table. He had a treasure chest full of coins.

    Question: What did his robe and crown look like? Did his robe have different colors? Did his crown have ruby's and emeralds?

  2. Point: I like that you described the king's writing utensil. "He wrote with a feather." Details like that in a story help the reader know what time period your story is set in without the author telling us directly. It's always more fun to figure it out using clues like yours. I know that this king lived long ago because we do not usually write with quill feathers any more.

    Question: Why was the king counting money? Was he a greedy king or a kind king? What did the numbers on his list mean? What was he going to do with the money once he counted it?
