Review questions for test 2: October the 15th

20 of these questions will be chosen for a test NEXT Tuesday.

This will be a cumulative review of things we have learned in class!

Science
  1. What is everything that has volume and mass? (matter)
  2. What does volume mean? (The amount of space something takes up)
  3. What does mass mean? (The amount of weight something has)
  4. What has more mass: cotton or sand? (sand)
  5. What has more volume: cotton or sand? (neither - they can have the same volume)

IB
  1. What IB unit are we currently studying? Dollars and Cents - How we organize ourselves.
  2. Why was the second mint opened in San Francisco? (because of the gold rush)
  3. What is one thing you have learned researching for your IB presentation?
  4. What is one IB learner profile you have demonstrated this week? Give an example.
  5. What is one IB attitude you have demonstrated this week? Give an example.

Spelling
  1. What do these morphographs mean? Un = not,  ing = when something happens, re = again, less = without, mis = wrong, pre = before, ed = in the past, ness = that which is, est = the most
  2. What is the final E rule? (If a word ends in E and the next part starts with a vowel, you drop the E.)

Math
  1. What does sum mean? (to add)
  2. What does difference mean? (to subtract)
  3. When you round something that is ½ do you round up or down to the nearest inch? (up)
  4. What is 6 ¼ rounded? (6) What is 3 ½ rounded? (4) What is 9 ¾ rounded? (10) and other questions like that.
  5. What do all pictographs need? (title, key and labels)
  6. Write the numbers counting by 3’s: 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30
  7. Write the numbers counting by 4’s: 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32, 36, 40

Spanish

  1. How are you = Como estas
  2. Rojo = red
  3. Naranja = orange
  4. Morado = purple
  5. Azul = blue
  6. Verde = green
  7. Amarillo = Yellow
