If I lived in Antarctica I wouldn't take any food. I might have to sleep in an igloo. If I were to bring food it would be shipped away. I also would have to take salt out of the water and make it usable. That would be a not so simple life.
One reason I would live in Antarctica is because water melts ice and snow. In the story it says "People take 2 minute showers twice a week." It takes two days to reload and unload the cargo. The cargo goes to the continent. The last reason I would go to Antarctica is to learn about it.
