If I lived in Antarctica it would be freezing cold. In Antarctica life would be a lot different. For example, in Portland I can take 30 minute showers every day. In Antarctica you can only have two minute showers twice a week because the water purifier uses a lot of energy.
In Antarctica all the stuff you need gets packed in cargo ships from different countries. The cargo ship has food and luggage. Also you don't have as many options of food to eat. Your food wouldn't be fresh either. In Antarctica you have to be careful with food waste.
