Jingle
the black nosed earthworm had a very black nose.
And if you ever caught him,
you would even say he blows.
All of the other earthworms used to laugh and call
him names.
They wouldn't let poor jingle join in any earthworm games.
Than one
dirty earthworm days.
“Jingle
the black nosed earthworm” the king worm said.
Won’t you come and ride tonight?
Then all the other earthworms came and shouted out with glee,
Jingle the black
nosed earthworm, you’ll go down in earthwormy!

Hi Ella,
ReplyDeleteI love your take on Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. It's very imaginative and creative... I especially liked your use of an earthworm - which is not your typical, loveable Christmas creature - and the fact that you just made up the word "earthwormy".. that's what makes this piece fun :)
Just pay attention to Line 5. I think you meant 'Then one dirty earthworm day'.
