    My group is water pollution. I am doing acid rain. Water pollution causes acid rain by acid spilling into the ocean. It kills plants and therefore causes there to be less oxygen.

    Acid rain is a problem due to the fact that it’s a highly acidic rain! Acid rain has a pH reading of 2.5. Normal rain has pH reading of 7.5. When sulfur dioxide (so2) is absorbed by clouds, it’s the first step in creating acid rain. The second is the sulfur dioxide oxidizing in the presence of nitrogen oxide. That is how acid rain is created.

    When acid rain kills plants, there is less oxygen to go around. If acid rain hits something, it normally dies. If it kills plants, there is less oxygen for the ozone layer. Plus, the ozone layer protects us from space’s vacuum. If we don’t die that way, there won’t be enough air. So, finally the more water pollution the less chance of the planet’s survival.

    My action plan is to use less water. When you leave faucets on, it goes to our already polluted ocean. Acid and chemicals then sneak into the water cycle. Ways to save water are to turn off the water while brushing your teeth. Another way is to not throw chemicals into the ocean. People do this in the form of cigars.

    My big environmental problem is pollution, my problem is wildfires. If a wildfire happens the smoke will rise and pollute the air. Wildfires impact trees by killing them. If a tree falls it will make less air, and we get oxygen from trees.  Wildfires can also cause global warming.

    If a wildfire happens the smoke will rise which is polluting the air. Fires can also cause global warming. Global warming causes deforestation. Deforestation is when animals are dying from something. People should stop driving so much. People also like to smoke they should stop.

Raven Returns the Water - Rough draft of class

Narrator 1: Once in a village there  was a big drought.

NARRATOR 2: During the drought the villagers could  not bathe, find enough food,wash cloths or drink.

Villager Member 1: The plants are not growing.

Village Member 2: I can’t wash my clothes  

village member 3: I can not take a bath all village members ;we need water

raven: so thirsty  

Narrator 1: so raven and fox set out on a adventure first let's go find the water for the village.

Fox: I don’t think this is a good idea. It could be dangerous.

Raven: We have to go for the village. If we don’t, the villagers will die.

Fox: Fine, we’ll go.

Raven: The thief left a trail of water.

Fox: let’s follow it. Watch out, the thief left lots of holes.

fox:aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah  we fell in a ditch raven where are you  

Raven: UMMMMMM, i’m on your head. Now how are we gonna get out of here?

Fox:There's some roots attached to dirt to get us up!

Raven:We got out of the hole!

Narrator: once they got out of the hole, they set off ti find the missing water.

N 2: They went through the widest dry river beds, the tallest of mountains and the lartgest of forests.

Fox: Are we there yet.

Raven: No. I still see nothing but dry land.

N1: The sun was going down so fox and raven decided to rest.

N2: The next morning they set off slowly in search of water.

Raven: I’m so thirsty.

Fox: I’m thirsty too.

Narrator 1: just as they were about to give up they saw a big, wet, green meadow.

Raven: Maybe if we follow the meadow we will find the water.

Fox: I think that’s a great idea.

N2: They began to run. Then fox fell into a big puddle.

Raven: Fox, look up.

N1: Fox looked up and saw a big, ten foot green frog.

Raven: Frog - why did you steal all of the water.

Frog: It’s because no one needs the water but me.

Box: But the people in the village are dying.

Frog: How does that concern me?

Ravin: It does. We are all connected. We need the water back.

Frog: No!!!!! I wont’ give it back.

Frog: OOOOHHHH (in pain) my belly hurts sooo much.

Raven: Can we help you?

Frog: Please

Fox: We can only help if you give back the water.

Frog: Ok fine. You can have the water. My belly hurts sooooo much.

Raven: Swallow this rock and your belly will feel better.

Narrator 2: After frog swallowed the rock, his stomach could not longer hold all of the water and the rock. The water started to seep out and flow back to the earth.

Narrator 1: Eventually, the frog also spit out the rock. He was so tired, he took a rest on the rock.

Narrator: So Raven and Fox helped frog give back all of the water. The water flowed from the frog and filled all of the rivers, lakes and clouds in the sky.

Narrator 2: After Raven and Fox convinced frog to give back the water, the villagers were very happy.

Villager 1: I feel very happy water is here. The water helps the plants and berries grow.

Villager 2: The trees can grow.

Villager 3: Ahh. I can finally fish and take purification baths.

N2: The village and all of the forest animals got their water back.

N1: Now, if you go to a pond and look at a rock, you still might see frog basking in the water. 
N2: While frog share the water with the world, he never wants to be far from the water or the rock that helped him feel better to this day.

Orca and Eagle Have a Child - rough draft of class

N: A long time ago in the ocean there lived an Orca. Orca loved watching Eagle flys high soar above the sky.

O: how I wish I can fly. There is so many things Up there to see.  

EFH:I wish i could see what's under the sea.

N: One day Orca  wants to ask something. So Orca goes to a little meeting place and  shouted. Eagle Flies High comes flying.

EFH: Yes!

O: I just wanted to ask you something.

EFH: What is it?

O: We'll if you teach me how to fly I will show you an easier way to catch salmon. Deal?

EFH: Ok! Can you help me first?

O: ok let’s go catch some fish.

N: So orca dove deep into the sea and found turtle.

T: Hi Orca. How are you? Is there a problem?

O No, but I need your help.

T: Ok. What do you want me to do?

O: Can you chase the salmon to the surface and watch for eagle flies high to catch salmon.

T: I can do that for you.

N: So turtle chased the salmon to the surface and eagle flies high had much to eat. Every time eagle flies high wanted salmon, Orca would get help some the sea creatures to chase salmon to the surface.

EFH: This new way of catching salmon is very easy.

O: Yes, I know.

EFH: Now it is my turn. I will teach you how to fly.

O: Ok. What is the first step?

EFH: Well, you really need wings.

O: I could use my uhhhhhhhhh?

OFH: Your what?

O: Maybe my fins?

EFH: Ok. First you stretch your wings. (pause) I mean your fins.

O: Ok what’s the next step?

EFH: Well, take a little swim around and flap your wings, I mean fins, and push up.

N: So orca did what she was told. She couldn’t fly, but she could jump high. Every day she jumped closer and closer to be near Eagle Flies High.

E: I wish I could see more creatures that live in the water.

D: You heard what Eagle Fly High said. Let me show him how I jump.

N2: So orca showed EFY all sorts of things from the sea.

O: What sort of things are above the sea?

E: Flowers are very beautiful.

O: What is a flower?

E: It is a beautiful thing. Yes! I will bring one to you!

O: Thank you!

N: So every day EFH and O spent more and more time together. Even though they were from different worlds, they grew to love each other. One day Eagle Fly High and Orca realized that they were in love.

O: Okay I think I will go say hi to Eagle Fly High!

Eagle: I think will go down to the water and say hi to Orca

Narrator: Eagle dove down and Orca jumped their body's touched.

Narrator 2: Many months passed and then the day arrived that everyone had been waiting for. They had a baby.

C: come look! orca and eagle had a baby!

T: look how high the baby can jump! wow! look at that unique skin!

C: it looks like its black with white spots!

T: look at that blessed child!

sea creatures: wow! wow! look at orca and eagle’s baby.  

D: Wow - they had a baby!

O: Wow, my baby swims just like me.

E: My child is fast and can almost fly like me. Look how high he jumps.

D: congratulations.

T: Yeah - your child is really beautiful.

Narrator : Because there baby was from the love of two different worlds, it had special magic. The women of the villages would come to see this magical creature. The women played beautiful music upon their flutes to see if she would come.

N2: Sometimes orca's child would come up to the surface and dance. Sometimes even sung. But there was always that moment.

N1: That moment when everything was good. All was sweet. the magical moment.

Narrator 2: One day orca came to the surface to hear the beautiful music of some flutes.

woman1: (playing a flute) wow! What a whale!

woman2: (playing a flute) what a beautiful whale. look it's coming near us.

N2: Orca came so near the women that she danced and splashed the women.

Narrator: To this day, if you get splashed by an orca you have good luck.The orca whale will bring you happiness, and love to your heart. When orca splashed the woman it gave blessings from the two realities of air, and water.

Snipe and Raven - rough draft of the class

Narrator 1: A long, long time ago there was a Raven and a Snipe. Raven like to pull tricks on the other animals that lived in the forest.

Narrator 2: Raven hated to work but his tricks often backfired on him.

Narrator 1: One day Raven  saw Snipe collecting Oysters on the beach.

Raven: Snipe, you must have a lot of food. I see you here every day.

Snipe: I need to collect all this food for my family, so I work hard every day.

Raven: Where is your house? I would like to visit some time.

Snipe: My house is next to the clearing with the fire pit.

RAVEN GOES TO GET FOOD

Narrator 2: So Raven set off to think of a plan to get some food. He knew Snipe had lots of food and wanted to trick Snipe into giving all of the food to Raven.

Raven: I got it! I will go to deer’s house. Deer will know how to trick Snipe.

Narrator 1: When Raven was going to Deer’s house he just forgot how to get to Snipe’s house.

Raven: Do you know the way to Snipe’s house?

Deer: No but I think that Fox knows the way. Do you want to stay and have some tea?

Raven: No thanks.

Deer:  Why are you going to Snipe’s house?

Raven: To  play a trick on her.

Deer: Okay lets go to fox’s house and learn how to get to Snipes house.

Narrator 1: So Deer took Raven to fox.

Fox: What are you doing?

Raven: I am going to Snipe’s house to play a trick on her.

Fox: Do you know where Snipe's family lives?

Raven: I do not know where Snipe's family lives.

Fox: What kind of trick?

Raven: I do not have a trick, but I want to get Snipe’s food. Snipe has a ton of yummy Oysters, clams and salmon.

Fox: I know that wolf knows many tricks.

Narrator 2: So deer, fox and Raven went to wolf’s house.

Raven gets to Snipes House

Wolf: Hello, Raven, deer and Fox!

Fox: Hi!

Wolf: What can I do for you?

Raven: I was wondering whether you could help me trick Snipe into giving me his food.

Wolf: Of course I’ll help! This is my plan. You could pretend to eat dinner with him, but then eat all his food at dinner.

Raven: That sounds like a wonderful plan! Thanks Wolf!

Narrator 1: So Fox took Raven to the beach.

Fox: I need to go back to the forest now.

Raven: Okay! Good-Bye!

Raven: I’m going to eat Snipe’s food.

Raven: Knock. Knock.

Snipe: Hello would you like to come in for dinner?

Raven: Yes, please.

Snipe: I’m going to make salmon and oysters.

Raven: Yum! Yum!

Snipe:Thank you!

Snipe: shshshsh!   My husband is sleeping!

Husband: zzzzzzzzzzzzz

Narrator: Raven was eating all of the Snipe's food.

Snipe: Raven, do you want to know how to make food magically appear?

Raven: Of course I do! How do I?

Snipe: Just do what I tell you.

Raven: Of course!

Narrator: Snipe had to think fast if she was going to keep Raven from eating all of their food.

Snipe: Close your eyes and I will give you instructions.

Raven: My eyes are closed.

Snipe: Keep your eyes closed.

Raven: Ok.

Narrator: So Snipe threw Raven out the door.

Snipe: (secretly talking to the audience) I need a plan to fool Raven. I know I will pretend to dance through the fire four times. then I will pretend to hit my knee with a rock four times.

Raven: Where are we going?

Snipe: To the fire pit. I will walk through the fire four times. Then I will bang my knee with a rock four times. Squint your eyes so the smoke does not hurt your eyes.

Narrator 1: Snipe was dancing outside the fire he was dancing like crazy. Snipe pretended to dance through the fire flames.

Snipe: (pretending) ouch, ouch, ouch

Raven: Are you done dancing yet?

Snipe: No not yet .......Now I'm done, but now I have to smash a rock against my

leg. Close your eyes while I get the rock.

Raven: Okay.

Narrator: Instead of getting a rock, Snipe went to get fish eggs and some moss. Then he went back to Raven.

Snipe:You can open your eyes now, but squint so the fire doesn’t hurt your eyes.

Raven: Okay.

Narrator: When Snipe hit his leg, it looked like to Raven that Snipe was hitting

his leg with a real rock.

Snipe: (hitting his leg) one, ouch, two, ouch, three, ouch, four, ouch

Snipe: Now after this time some food will appear.

Raven: Finally! ( Snipe drops the eggs. )

Raven: Food! Yay!! Yay! I am happy to share with you. Would you like the food?

(Raven gobbles up the food)

Snipe: Now it's  your turn. Start dancing through the fire. I’ll lead you.

Raven: Owwwwww, this hurts, hurts, hurts.

Snipe: You need to dance through the fire again for the magic to work. You want the magic to work don’t you!

Raven: Owwwwwwww. This hurts, hurts, hurts.

Snipe: Now you need to find the sharpest rock you can find and pang on your leg as hard as you can. Then all the food you could ever eat will magically appear at your feet.

raven: (banging the rock on his leg and crying) Ouch

Snipe: Are you giving up yet?

raven: Its not worth it!!

snipe: So are you  giving up yet?

raven: Yes!!! I’ll just go find my own food. I don’t like your magic. sa

Narrator 1 : Raven does not trust Snipe anymore.

Narrator 1: Raven no longer played tricks on Snipe.

Narrator 2: At last Raven got his own food with his friends.                                                                                          

Raven: Hey thanks Fox for showing me the way to Snipe’s house, but the trick didn’t work. Want to go get some grub with me and Deer?  

Fox: Like what kind of grub?

Raven: Oh you know crab, shrimp,and oysters.

Fox: Sounds good.

Raven: Good!

Narrator 1: The Snipes no longer trust Raven, but f you ever go to the  beach and find a quiet spot the Snipes will trust you.
